Autoclave sterilization AS 44 SMS specifications:
The sterilizer chamber and heating jacket are made of high quality 316L stainless steel.
The chamber doors are made of high quality 316L stainless steel. A pneumatic actuator moves them vertically.
The user can choose between two types of piping:
- copper/brass pipes and valves;
- stainless steel pipes;
The sterilizer housing is made of stainless steel for easy maintenance;
The AS 44 autoclave uses an air-pressure driven seal;
Maintenance is quick and easy - the gasket can be removed quickly and easily at the touch of a button;
AS 44 sterilizers use a vacuum pump to remove air from the sterilization chamber;
To minimize water consumption, the sealing water used in the vacuum creation process is separated from the air, cooled and returned to the pump.
Pneumatic control valves are used to precisely control the flow of steam, in and out of the chamber and into the protective jacket;

Sterilization cycles ending with a vacuum drying phase require a supply of ambient air. To ensure that this air is sterile, AS 44 steam sterilizers are equipped with an inlet filter (sterile air filter). This is capable of removing 99.999% of particles that are 0.3 μm or larger.
The sterilizer can be powered either by a built-in steam generator or connected to an external steam source.

Purified water (reverse osmosis purified water, distilled water, etc.) must be used to ensure proper operation and longevity of the steam generator.
The water supplied to the steam generator shall meet EN 285 standards, which include the following hardness and conductivity requirements:
- hardness: < 0,02 mmol/l
- conductivity: <5μS/cm

Tap water may be used if it meets these requirements:
- hardness: between 0,7 and 2 mmol/l
