medisun® PDT 9000 is an innovative light therapy system for painless exposure in the application of Photodynamic Therapy (PDT) with polychromatic light spectrum. The main indications are Actinic Keratosis, a precursor of skin cancer, which is normally due to high sun exposures, for example through outdoor jobs.

One possibility of PDT performance is the socalled daylight-PDT where the patient is exposed to natural sunlight in the open air for approximately 2 or 3 hours. The actual effect of this form of therapy depends on many uncontrollable factors, such as season, day time, geographical position and weather conditions. In bad weather conditions and winter time, especially below 10°C temperature, the daylight-PDT can not be performed and the effect is not guaranteed.

With the new medisun® PDT 9000 the painless medisun®-PDT can be done scheduled at any time in your practice with only one hour exposure time. medisun® PDT 9000 contains a threedimensional exposure field around the head. The affected skin areas can be treated in either one or more sessions (field-cancerization). Excellent tolerability and consistently excellent therapy results are achieved.
